Welcome to all the families of Nursery School! 
We are delighted to have you and your child as a part of our school family.  Here at Nursery School the staff works hard to provide the children opportunities to grow in their cognitive, social emotional, and fine and gross motor  skills.

To keep you informed about what is going on in your child’s classroom, you will receive 
a monthly calendar, a parent newsletter from your child’s teacher and a Director’s newsletter with upcoming events.  We encourage you to read all of this information and become comfortable about what “a day at school” is like for your little one.

Healthy Me!

We are taking a pro-active approach by having children use a wipe to wash their hands when entering the classroom. We are once again asking for donations of alcohol free wipes to help keep our children healthy.  Please see your child's teacher for a permission form.

PARKING LOT SAFETY: It has been brought to our attention by our Sate Inspector the concern for our children’s safety during drop off and dismissal time. We ask for your cooperation in this matter! 

Dear Families,

We began this special month with a journey to Bethlehem. The church staff at CUMC puts on this wonderful event for the children. We journeyed through different stations visiting shepherds, angels, Wise Men and even finding baby Jesus. Thank you to all who make this special event happen!  

Once again we will be celebrating Christmas Around The World on Dec. 15^th and 16^th. The M/W 2’s will journey on Dec. 14^th. Each room will be decorated with different traditions of five countries created by the children. The children will be given a passport for entrance into the countries. We will return to our “home” country for a Christmas sing a long. 

Our “Special’s this month will include:

 Caroling together in music class, painting with pine branches in Art Class. During Science we will be busy growing ice crystals for the Winter season.

All are welcome to join us for the Christ Church Children’s Christmas Service for families on December 24 at 3:00 p.m.

Nursery School Registration for the 2012-2013 school year.  Look for information to come home soon. Word of mouth is our best form of advertising. If you are happy with our program, please spread the word.

           We will be participating once again in an outreach program the third week of January. We are asking for donations of new mittens, hats or scarves for needy children. The children may bring in slippers from home to wear during class and drink cocoa to help celebrate. Check your child’s calendar for their special day!

*Speech and Hearing screenings will be available the week of Jan. 9^th. There is a $20.00 fee for this service. 

School will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Day – teachers will attend in-service training
