Your child’s growth in the Tiger Preschool Room is our
number one priority. Your child will learn through play
experiences, learning centers, projects, and small group
activities. You will receive a daily report to let you know
what your child does each day. We also have a daily message
board posted outside the room. A daily schedule is posted in
the room. We use a picture schedule with the children. Each
week you will receive a lesson plan. The center uses the PA
Early Learning Standards as a guide and is part of the
Keystone STARS program. The children have opportunities for
art, music, and science experiences. Every morning when your child enters
the classroom they will find their name and “check in.”
This is an exciting age where each individual child is
learning and mastering many skills. Some of the children are
toilet trained and some are not. We will work with each child
on this task when the child shows signs of readiness. As with
all the other rooms at the center, much learning occurs during
play.
Please make sure that your child always has two complete
changes of clothes in their locker as well as a sufficient
supply of diapers and wipes. They will also need a sheet and
blanket for rest time along with any “security” item they
use when napping.
