Day Care Program

Our  Day Care Program  seeks to serve the child care needs of South Hills working families. We are open all year round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The children are grouped in order to promote age appropriate development and friendship. In large, bright rooms, they will learn from experienced and loving care givers.

Infants (6 weeks to 13 months) The Infants are the youngest class in our Day Care Program. We accept children as young as 6 weeks old and they remain in our Infant Room until they are at least 13 months old.  The children follow their own schedules as outlined by the parents. While in the infant room, the children develop and grow in all areas.

1 year olds (13 months to 25 months) The Walkers are our one year old children. Their days are filled with lots of  laughter and love! The children follow a daily schedule that includes time for large muscle activities, fine motor skill development, and language and socialization skills. We continue to emphasize their  strengths and allow them room to grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively.

2 year olds (25 months to 36 months) The Toddlers are our two year old children.  You will often find them busy dancing, painting, or building. Our Toddlers are beginning to learn the give and take of socialization, and develop their speech skills.  During this time the children continue to grow socially, emotionally and cognitively.

3 year olds  When you come to the Three's room you will find a group of children very busy talking, playing, exploring, and learning. The curriculum for this room has been developed to foster readiness skills.   The children continue to grow socially, emotionally and cognitively.

Readiness (4 & 5 year olds) The children in the Readiness program are very busy getting ready for kindergarten. The children learn through direct interactive experiences, socialization with their peers, and guided readiness activities. Children  thrive when they have the opportunity to learn in a variety of ways, and our Readiness program has been developed around this concept.  The children continue to grow socially, emotionally and cognitively.
